Welcome to Cleanercession's Mission Minded

How it began...

Between 2017-2019, I was in a recovery home. Early on while I was there seeking God and getting sober, I sensed with an urgency, “The enemy is wreaking havoc in people’s homes – get in and pray”. It is as though everything was just downloaded into me. Cleaning will be my way into people’s homes… Not like some sort of invasion, but an act of service.

Early on...

Cleaning has been a huge part of my life, like most people. It is something we do daily. Oddly, for myself, I would add that it was almost a time of bonding between me and my family members. With my grandma, it was our time to talk, she is also an excellent keeper of home, and she really helped instill the idea of doing all things in excellence. I recall her telling me as a young person, especially while cleaning, “do all things as though you are doing it unto the Lord” – Col 3:23. This attitude of doing things with excellence was something she had passed on to my mother of course. So, cleaning at home with my mother and siblings was a time of bonding as well. A day of cleaning looked like cranking up the music, dancing, talking… it was just fun. I think the best part was the result. The atmosphere was different.

I developed a knack for cleaning – beyond cleaning, an eye for detail. As a young boy, 9 years old, I started cleaning my aunt and uncle’s house for pay. I was on a routine schedule, and this became a way for me to earn money. At 10, I recall passing out flyers, because I wanted to work – offering cleaning, painting, or yard work. It was what I knew. What I had learned to do at home. I did acquire one extra client - My parent’s friend, Renee. While cleaning with her, at 11 years old, we walked into Tuckers Express Shoe Repair on Park Western Dr. in San Pedro. Renee approached John, telling him that I was interested in working, and, just like that, John said, “Ok, come in on Saturday and you can help me around the shop”. John taught me the trade of repairing shoes and other leather items. I was young and felt a bit intimidated using the cash register and helping customers, but John helped me to break out of my shell, and here is where I began to develop in working with the public.

The Mission

Fast forward almost 20 years later, I sensed an urge to take the basic things I learned early on and start a business, but not just any cleaning business - a business on a mission. The mission is to create an atmosphere of cleanliness and order. We do this by cleaning and interceding in prayer for our clients and their loved ones with this in mind – the enemy is wreaking havoc – get in and pray! And this is not to say that every home or client has havoc in their lives, but we all have a need. We could simply be there to fulfill the need for a clean home, or to intercede for another need.

The world we live in is not ignorant to spirituality. Spiritual guidance is being sought out more than I have ever seen in my 36 years on this earth. Tarot card reading, healers, mediums, crystals, and other forms of spiritual guidance, healing and protection is increasingly gaining popularity, and is now shockingly mainstream. When I was young these types of practices were a bit more taboo. Not today! God in his infinite wisdom knew this was coming and has been calling Kingdom businesses to stand up and let the light shine. He is our ultimate source, and the one who truly heals, saves, delivers, and brings us to wholeness.

Many of our clients are dealing with illness, depression, loss, amongst other things, and the mission has become clearer to me than ever before – change the atmosphere, be the light, and intercede. Sometimes, a clean home and a cheerful smile from your cleaning tech can do just that – Change the atmosphere. All of this to say, this is why we are here 😊 To be the hands and feet of Jesus... a Kingdom business on a mission.
